Summary: This research paper explored the utilization of marginalized and disadvantaged communities as a business advocacy strategy to improve the operational performance of CATSearch HR Consultancy. The study investigated the impact of this strategy on various aspects, including workforce resources, employee retention, efficiency and quality, and competitive advantage, and its relation to the business environment, customer needs and expectations, and the organization's human capital. Qualitative research method, specifically one-on-one interviews, was conducted to gather in-depth insights from the people managers at CATSearch HR Consultancy. The thematic analysis of the participants' responses, supported by relevant quotes and existing literature, provided a comprehensive understanding of the company's business strategy. The findings demonstrated that leveraging marginalized and disadvantaged communities as a business advocacy strategy positively affects key indicators while sustainability is identified as crucial for a long-term success. CATSearch HR Consultancy's commitment to their business advocacy strategy not only enhances its business operations and brand reputation but also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 8. The study emphasized the collaborative effort required between the organization and the community to effectively implement this strategy and by providing employment opportunities and promoting diversity and inclusion, CATSearch HR Consultancy contributes to sustainable economic growth and decent work for all. The research concluded that this business advocacy strategy is both viable and effective enabling the company to reap significant benefits while supporting the development of marginalized and disadvantaged communities.
