Pocketbooks, specifically Tagalog Romance Novel, have been outspreading in the country since the greatest writers like Jose Rizal had released some, but well-known ones. Since then, many writers have been following his path. Some of them write in Tagalog and some in Foreign. It has become popular particularly to those belonging to lower echelon as it hysterically rising. Many writers have been writing their works in Tagalog form since their would-be-only-buyers are Filipinos. Literally, there are many kinds of entertainment that Filipinos are fond of. There are televisions, internet, play station, slapstick characters, adult material videos, cell phone scandals, and etcetera. But as the financial system in the country uncontrollably plunging, the researchers believe that Tagalog Romance pocketbooks have been becoming as the cheapest entertainment though, Filipinos are romantic, as one of the researchers' respondents has revealed it. Furthermore, reading and writing a piece is intense since Filipinos are busy making money for food. Reading is not made for survival. It is made for entertainment. But apart from that, the researchers believe that the writers of Tagalog romance pocketbook will still persist to write as long as there are readers. Since reading a Tagalog romance pocketbook is the cheapest entertainment nowadays, that is what the reader's alternative over the country's uncontrollably dropping of the financial system. From that reason, the pocketbooks that are being sold from P200 have been cut down to P50 or less, literally the Tagalog Romance pocket books. As poverty never stops, Tagalog romance pocket books will stay fresh, blooming, untouched and need to be read, as the freshest, blooming and untouched romantic readers need to be romanced. |
